A booknista will know where to go for real good deals for books...I did a lot of research on second hand bookstores/bookfairs and came up with the following:
Topping my list is the Lifeline bookfair, I vouch for visiting their sales because of the immensely good value you get. My husband and me left elated after returning 3 times back from dunking the books in the car and back to the fair. We bought around 50 books for AUD 80. I know!! Talk about being in book heaven. And mind you, all the books we got were good. We read 95% of non-fiction so that should in itself say it.
Some of the titles we bought at the Lifeline macarthur sale:
Off the record - Craig Gordon
The pyramid principle
Perestroika - Mikhail Gorbachev
Making globization work - Joseph Stiglitz
The Warren Buffet way
Stuffed & starved - Raj Patel
The lost continent of mu
The worst case scenario almanac
Confessions of an economic hitman
Stupid white men
Tandia & The power of one - Bryce Courtenay
The tipping point - Malcolm Gladwell
LOTR
The thorn birds - Colleen McCullough
Audrey , her real story
The fountainhead - Ayn Rand
A history of God - Karen Armstrong
No logo - Naomi Klein
Edward De Bonos books
Wall street , the inside story of american finance
